These dogs have a unique personality that will make you laugh and smile every day. They are a great breed for families, as they love spending time with people and are always up for a good game of fetch. So, sit back and get ready to be inspired by these charming creatures!

Where do French Bulldogs originate?

French Bulldogs have a long and rich history. They are believed to have been first bred in France in the 1800s. The French Bulldog was created by breeding small English Bulldogs with Rat Terrier dogs. The resulting puppies were smaller than their English counterparts and had a more playful personality.

They quickly became a popular pet for both the wealthy and the working class. In 1897, the French Bulldog Club of America was founded, and the breed began to grow.

How big do French Bulldogs get?

These sweet Frenchie’s are a small breed of dog that typically weighs between 16 and 28 pounds. They have a short, stocky build with a large head and bat-like ears. French Bulldogs come in a variety of colors, including brindle, fawn, white, and black. They are known for their gentle and loving personality, as well as their loyalty to their owner, but look out… they can be very stubborn!

Do Frenchie dogs have health issues?

One of the most common health problems in Frenchie's is respiratory difficulties. This is due to the shape of their head and their short noses. French Bulldogs often have trouble breathing, and they can snore loudly. Some will have to have elongated pallet surgery or stenotic nares corrections, a common disorder in brachycephalic or smushed face breeds.

Another common health problem in French Bulldogs is joint problems. This is due to their short legs and heavy bodies. French Bulldogs are more likely than other dogs to develop hip dysplasia, a condition in which the hip joint doesn't fit properly into the socket. This can cause pain and lameness. Health Extension Hip and Joint Mobility supplements are a great way to provide optimal joint health for your Frenchie.

French Bulldogs can also be prone to skin infections. This is due to their short coats, which don't protect their skin as well as longer-coated breeds. Health Extension Skin & Coat is a perfect solution for Frenchie's skin and coat health! If you see any signs of a skin infection, such as redness, swelling, crusting or tearing and watery eyes causing wrinkles to get wet and infected, take your Frenchie to the vet for an evaluation.

While French Bulldogs are generally healthy dogs, however as with any health concern for any dog, you should take them to the vet for an evaluation. Early diagnosis and treatment is important for their health and wellbeing.

How much exercise does my Frenchie need?

Since French Bulldogs are a low-energy breed, they make ideal pets for city-dwellers or anyone who doesn't have a lot of space. A short walk around the block or some playtime in the park is usually all they need to stay happy and healthy.

What should I feed my French Bulldog?

When it comes to food, French Bulldogs are relatively easy to please. They typically do well on a standard dog food diet, although feeding Health Extension pet foods will provide a holistic solution that will provide a lifetime of health and happiness for your friend. Addressing digestive issues is as simple as providing Health Extension Belly + Immunity to your Frenchie's daily diet.

Fabulously Fun Frenchie’s
